On Friday, Shaquille O’Neal was seen filming sequences for the crime series “Gravesend,” which is set in Brooklyn. The scenes were filmed near Coney Island. Larry’s Auto Radiator Repair, located on Neptune Avenue, was the location where the former NBA player,
who is now 52 years old, was casting for the highly anticipated third season of the show. William DeMeo, the author of “Gravesend” and the lead actor, as well as Joseph D’Onofrio, were spotted walking about the set with him.
Adding a new dimension to the already impressive cast, rappers Peter Gunz and Maino joined Shaq in the scene, bringing a fresh perspective to the proceedings. In addition, it has been disclosed that James Harrison, a former player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, would also be a member of Shaq’s crew in the series.
There was a lot of excitement in the historic area as a result of O’Neal’s visit. The day began with Shaq doing a scene on the roof, as stated by a person who was present on set. When others saw him in action, they stopped what they were doing and yelled for him.
Cars honked their horns, ambulances and fire vehicles sounded their sirens, and the crowds in the streets stopped what they were doing. Additionally, the TNT commentator took the time to sign autographs for fans, which further served to endear him to the community in which he was working.
This season of “Gravesend” is going to have an incredible lineup of stars, such as the legendary Talia Shire from “Rocky” and the veterans Vincent Curatola and Dominic Chianese from “The Sopranos.” Chazz Palminteri, his daughter Gabriella Palminteri, William Forsyth,
Andrew “Dice” Clay, Fran Drescher, Armand Assante, Chuck Zito, Martin Kove, who starred in “The Karate Kid,” and Mario Cantone, who is a comic from “Sex and the City,” have all made appearances in previous seasons.
Fran Drescher, who is 64 years old, was reportedly responsible for bringing the Bensonhurst neighborhood in Brooklyn to a complete halt during the filming of the series, according to earlier accounts.
Despite the fact that it features such a vibrant and diverse cast, “Gravesend” continues to generate excitement and anticipation among both its fans and its residents.
