Last October, Tasha K was ordered to pay $4 million to Cardi B after losing a defamation lawsuit the Bronx rapper filed against her. Now, Cardi wants her money, and is looking for ways to secure it.
XXL reports that a writ of execution was filed against Tasha K last Thursday (April 20), with documents, signed off on by Judge William M. Ray II, noting that the blogger’s property can be seized to recover the $3,868,753.47 Cardi was awarded after winning the suit.
On Friday, Tasha K responded on Twitter to the legal motion: “Look! Sis & Law I Know you need that cause work is slow for all of us right now, but right now, I ain’t got it!” she captioned a picture of a list of her debts. “But let your lawyers know that when I’m up, you gone be up & stuck…You get first dibs after this irs bill gets paid.”
Cardi B originally sued Tasha K for defamation in 2019 after the YouTuber made a blog post in 2018 that accused Cardi of drug use and having sexually transmitted diseases. The case was subsequently tried in Georgia federal court in January of last year. Cardi eventually won and a judge ordered that Tasha K pay the rapper $3,868,753.47.
