Meghan Markle Details Moving Moment She Had With Her and Prince Harry’s Daughter Lilibet

During their first overseas journey since Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and her daughter Princess Lilibet resigned from their royal duties, they had a heartfelt chat.

Meghan Markle is learning that there is a darker side to motherhood.

The Duchess of Sussex couldn’t help but share a wonderful discussion she had with their 2-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet while visiting with students at the Lightway Academy on May 10th, during her and Prince Harry’s three-day vacation in Nigeria.

“Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys,” Meghan reportedly remarked to a kindergarten class, according to People. It won’t be long till she turns three. And a few weeks before, my eye’s reflection was all she would see when she gazed at me. “Mama, I see myself in you,” she continues.

The 42-year-old recognized that she was speaking so literally now. However, I understood those words completely differently. I said to myself, “Yes, I do see myself in you, and you see me in you.”

Sitting next to Harry in the classroom, she said to the students, “As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”

Throughout their visit, the couple—who also happen to be Prince Archie’s parents—played games and gave the kids dancing and singing lessons. Meghan reportedly stated, “That’s Lili’s favorite class,” as reported by the newspaper. Maybe it’s all the jumping around.

Despite Meghan and Harry’s desire to keep their private lives private, they frequently provide fleeting glimpses into their family of four.

The Duke of Sussex stated, “The kids are doing great,” on Good Morning America in February. The kids are growing up, just like every kid does, and very quickly.

“They both have an amazing sense of humor and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day like most kids do,” the 39-year-old continued. “I just feel so grateful to be a father.”
