Jane Seymour, 72, revealed that it was a trying period as she and co-star Joe Lando, 61, didn’t speak to each other for years while filming “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.”

Before falling in love with Joe Lando and spending time on “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” Jane Seymour went through some difficult times in her life. She owed her ex nine million dollars and was for a spell homeless.

Fans of “Dr. Quinn” will never forget the visage of British-American actress Jane Seymour. In an interview conducted years after the 1993 movie, Seymour reflected on her tenure on his show.

However, the actress first reflected on some gloomy circumstances that led to her appearance on “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” before going into depth about her time on the show and how it affected her career.

In addition to acting, Seymour is an entrepreneur and writer. Before rising to stardom with lead parts in movies and TV shows like “The Onedin Line” and “Live and Let Die,” she made her screen debut in 1969 in an uncredited appearance on “Oh! What a Lovely War.”

Seymour won a second Golden Globe for her role in the television series “Dr. Quinn” in the 1990s, when she played Dr. Michaela “Mike” Quinn. But in an interview conducted years after the show’s finale, the actress shared personal facts about her life before it.

Seymour said that her ex-husband at the time had wasted their money and left her in debt to the tune of nine million dollars. She called her agency and said that she was eager to take any work because she was homeless and had no money.

She was cast as “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” as a result of this. She had to sign a five-year contract in case the picture turned into a series, but she was offered a “little movie of the week.” In less than a day, she started working, and Seymour observed:

“They prevented my death.” My kids could come out to the set and complete their schoolwork in the trailer, and I had a roof over my head and some money to help me get back on my feet.

Seymour experienced some uncomfortable situations on filming, despite the 1993 series being a blessing for her. Before cautioning the audience not to fall in love with the lead actor in a pilot and then break up before the end of the film, she gave actor Joe Lando credit for his contribution to the film.

Although Seymour, 72, and Lando are far gone from their disagreements, their relationship during the filming of “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” was quite unpleasant. They dated for a while before calling it quits.

The actress’s marriage to series regular director James Keach made things worse. Seymour remembered that Keach had to oversee and observe her and Lando’s on-set romance.

The actress went on to say in the interview that she watched the series again with her grandchildren and saw that it still contained issues that were pertinent in this day and age.

In an interview at the Creative Arts Emmys Night 2 once, 72-year-old Seymour revealed that it was a tough period as she and co-star Lando didn’t speak for years while filming “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.”

Although she and Lando looked like the ideal couple on television, the article pointed out that they had some tension and were going through the awkward phase of breaking up off screen. She also remembered the beginning of her romance with Lando.

The actress from “Live and Let Die” recalled an incident where a flash flood occurred on site and continued pushing her automobile backward. The intern driver of the car prevented her from getting out of the car. However, Seymour leaped out and ended himself in Lando’s truck, which is how their chemistry started.

Seymour has been married four times and now regards Lando as her “closest friend on the planet.” In 2015, the divorce between her and film director Keach was finalized. Conversely, Lando and Kirsten Barlow have been wed since 1997.

When the couple from “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” posed for a picture on social media that showed them as they used to be, it brought back wonderful memories. The co-stars remained endearing despite appearing older.

The “Somewhere in Time” actress shared a picture of herself and Lando in which Seymour was wearing a floral dress and Lando was wearing a maroon T-shirt and blue blazer. Fans of “Dr. Quinn” were infatuated with the picture and its caption:

“Sully in the summertime!”

Despite being a well-known movie star, Seymour hasn’t always had happy relationships. The businesswoman, mother, and grandmother said in a recent interview that she has gained a lot of insight from her unsuccessful marriages and previous relationships.

According to Seymour, the best course of action following a breakup is to “let go” and develop a means of communication, particularly when co-parenting. The actress added that being with individuals who desired someone who didn’t work and was always available was the only flaw in her relationships.

Being available around the clock was difficult for someone with a career who was also supporting their family. The only thing Seymour did wrong, she remarked, laughing, was go to work.

Before their relationship collapsed, the actress and her ex-husband Keach had a set of twins, Kristopher and John. She had a son named Sean and a daughter named Katherine when she was first married to David Flynn.

Seymour acknowledged that despite having a hard job, she made an effort to spend time with her children. Whenever she traveled for work, they went with her, and she was able to keep her equilibrium.

The 72-year-old actress did, however, point out that she had relationships with men who had “different issues.” With a smirk, Seymour disclosed that she never divorced the guys; instead, they left to find other partners.
