Hailey Bieber says she’s ‘scared’ to have children with Justin Bieber due to hate she gets online

Hailey Bieber has spoken out about her fears of becoming a mother amid the online bullying she has received in the past few months.

The 26-year-old – who is married to Canadian musician Justin Bieber, 29 – has spent all of her life living in the public eye, given that she’s part of the famous Baldwin dynasty (her dad is Alec Baldwin’s brother, The Usual Suspects actor Stephen Baldwin).

In fact, in a new interview with The Sunday Times, the model admitted that she “cries all the time” about the idea that her future children would be exposed to fame and the public eye.

She also spoke about how worried she would be as a parent seeing other people comment on her children.

During the interview, the Rhode Skin founder stated: “I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child. We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”

Any pop culture enthusiast will tell you that Hailey’s relationship with Justin has not been easy, especially given his highly-publicized relationship with Selena Gomez, 30, with whom he was in an on-off relationship from 2011 to 2018.

Fans of Selena and Justin’s relationship have often made life difficult for Hailey, and have been known to bombard her social media with messages saying that her husband should have stayed with the ‘Good For You’ singer. Many people have also accused Hailey of taking subtle digs at Selena in recent months, but it’s likely a case of the internet attempting to pit one woman against another.

The drama between Justin, Selena, and Hailey came to a head in March when Hailey ended up directly contacting Selena for help amid their fan-fueled social media feud. At that time, fans of both stars claimed that Hailey and Selena were taking shots at each other – which started when Hailey and friend Kylie Jenner seemed to taunt Gomez over her eyebrows. Both Hailey and Kylie denied their posts had anything to do with Selena.

Fan theories only escalated when Selena announced that she would be taking a break from TikTok, stating on a TikTok Live: “I’m going to be taking a second from social media because this is a little silly. I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later. I’m just gonna take a break from everything.”

Following this, Hailey unfortunately began to receive so many death threats that she ended up reaching out to Selena, who wrote on her Instagram story: “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”

Hailey also alluded to this situation in a post on her own Instagram story, stating: “I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting I’m having a hard time. But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least.”
