McLovin actor thrills fans after showing off engagement ring as he’s spotted at basketball game

Christopher Mintz-Plasse has delighted fans by showing off his fiancée’s engagement ring at a basketball game.

The 33-year-old Superbad star – who is perhaps better known to fans as the hapless teenager McLovin – attended the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks NBA playoff at the TD Garden arena in Massachusetts on Saturday (April 15).

The actor was with his bride-to-be Britt Bowman and the couple showcased a very public display of affection during the sports game.

Mintz-Plasse appeared on the jumbotron and grabbed his partner – who is a professional photographer – hand to show off her engagement ring before stealing a kiss.

The actor – who recently appeared in the 2022 comedy flick Honor Society – confirmed his engagement to Bowman in a series of photographs shared on the social media platform back in December.

The post was captioned “Life’s over!!!” and started with a selfie of them kissing as his long-term partner flashed her engagement ring in front of the camera.

The second snap showed them smiling as she once again held up her hand, and the third picture was them toasting in their kitchen with their arms wrapped around each other.

The couple has been together for six years and has yet to announce the date of their big day.

Mintz-Plasse was just 17 years old when shot to stardom due to his role as nerd Fogell and his alter-ego – a Hawaiian man born on June 3, 1981, with just one name: McLovin.

His portrayal in the cult classic is so popular within the fandom that 14 years later, fans of the film marked what would have been McLovin’s 40th birthday in 2021.

Seth Rogen – who co-wrote the film and starred as Officer Michaels – joined in on the celebrations by posting a picture of the notorious fake ID with the caption: “Happy 40th birthday McLovin. (We wrote this joke when we were 14 years old).”

The picture definitely stood the test of time, and we hope Mintz-Plasse’s marriage to Bowman does too!
