Taylor Swift has left fans cracking up after she suffered a mishap on stage during one of her recent Eras tour shows.
The 33-year-old singer has currently been performing to sold-out audiences on the US leg of her tour, but even a seasoned pro like Taylor isn’t immune to factors outside of her control causing a hiccup in her show…
the case in point being a pesky bug that decided to fly right down her throat.
Fans in the audience were left worrying something was seriously wrong when Taylor suddenly clasped her hand to her mouth, leaned forward and coughed, and then turned away from the audience.
Silence and gasps descended on the venue as the crowd realized that the singer was in distress of some kind, before she revealed what had actually gone down. (A fly, down her gullet in this case).
“[I’m] totally fine, it’s just dumb. It’s so stupid,” she added, before joking: “Oh, delicious!”
Taylor then quipped: “Is there any chance that none of you saw that?”
Laughing, she told them: “Ok, I’m just going to try not to do as many of those. This is going to happen again tonight. There’s so many bugs. There’s a thousand of them.”
While Taylor is currently on her North American tour, she delighted fans over the weekend by announcing that she would be adding more dates and location to her tour and would be visiting Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico as well and that Sabrina Carpenter would be her support act.
And when Taylor wasn’t swallowing bugs, she left the crowd emotional after performing ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ as her surprise song.
The singer appeared to break down herself as she sang the line “Wondering if I dodged a bullet or just lost the love of my life,” as her voice broke and got hoarse.
Taylor has since been linked to The 1975 frontman Matty Healy – however, her rumored new relationship has received a less than enthusiastic reaction from her following due to controversial remarks he has made in the past.
