SZA followed up the success of her highly-anticipated sophomore album SOS with the lucrative SOS Tour, raking in an estimated $35 million.
Billboard reports that the 18-date tour that kicked off in February sold 238,000 tickets and brought in around $34.5 million. Not bad for the singer’s first-ever headlining tour.
The tour, which made stops in Columbus, New York, Toronto, Boston, and Los Angeles, averaged about 12,812 tickets per night, according to the outlet. This marks undeniable growth for the singer since her last tour, Ctrl the Tour, in 2017.
SZA’s last stop at the KIA Forum featured a star-studded audience. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake, Pedro Pascal, Adele, and Justin Bieber were all reportedly in attendance.
She brought out Lizzo and Phoebe Bridgers during the LA stop, with Bridgers also appearing during her stop at Madison Square Garden in New York. Cardi B also graced the stage during the “Kill Bill” singer’s MSG stop, singing her “Tomorrow 2” verse and “I Do.”
SZA dropped SOS on December 9 and announced the tour just days later. The album sold 318,000 album-equivalent units in its first week and spent ten non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200.
