Stores Are Still Feeling the Christmas Spirit

A well-known argument comes up again during the holiday season: “Happy Holidays” vs. “Merry Christmas.” But despite the controversy, some stores are proud to say they are committed to the real spirit of Christmas.

The American Family Association (AFA) has found stores that always enjoy Christmas, even when it’s not politically correct to do so. These stores should be praised for keeping the Christmas spirit alive.

Because it closes on Sundays and plays Christian music, Hobby Lobby is the leader in this movement. Belk joins the group and spreads Christmas cheer without using overused words.

Nordstrom is polite and waits until after Thanksgiving to decorate, so that workers can join in the fun. Home Depot and Wal-Mart are happy to use the word “Christmas,” which has earned them praise from the AFA.

Macy’s is famous for its famous parade, which uses “Christmas” a lot and has an interesting “Believe” theme. Even though JCPenney has had problems in the past, Christmas is still a big part of their store.

Bass Pro Shops supports Christmas and works with Duck Dynasty, which makes fans very happy. Lowe’s website is so full of Christmas cheer that it doesn’t leave any room for “Grinches.” Toys ‘R Us surprisingly puts “Christmas” in a prominent place by giving a popular “Christmas Catalogue.”

Let’s stand with these stores this holiday season and proudly say “Merry Christmas.” If someone says “Happy Holidays,” please fix the tone. Together, we keep the Christmas spirit and joy alive.

By helping these Christmas heroes, we show that the holiday is important. Share this story to get the word out and get excited about Christmas again.

As we shop this holiday season, let’s remember the stores that are bravely keeping Christmas traditions alive. Let’s work together to spread the word about what Christmas is really about and keep its spirit alive and wild.
