Pilot’s Final Radio Message Before the Hudson River Incident Raises Questions

A terrifying call was made prior to the tragedy by a Navy Seal veteran who was piloting the helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River in New York City.

Ms. Camprubí’s birthday was celebrated in the United States by Agustín Escobar and Mercè Camprubí Montal, who had flown from Spain with their three children, Agustín, 10, Mercè, 8, and Víctor, 4.

Above the waters off Manhattan, the plane broke apart, killing everyone.

Since then, the aircraft’s pilot has been identified as Seankese “Sean” Johnson, 36.

The pilot radioed base to inform them that they were heading back to the helipad to refuel, according to the owner of the fateful chopper.

He called to say he was landing and needed fuel, and it should have taken him around three minutes to get there, but he didn’t show up twenty minutes later, Michael Roth told The Telegraph.

The 71-year-old runs a business named New York Helicopter that offers helicopter tours of the city.

We are all inconsolable. All of our employees are devastated. My wife is still in tears.

My boss and my downtown heliport called to let me know that she had heard about a crash, and then everyone’s phones rang.

“Then one of my pilots saw the helicopter upside down while flying over the Hudson.”

The tragedy occurred nearer the New Jersey side on Thursday at approximately 3:15 p.m.

It sailed north along the skyline of Manhattan, then back south towards the Statue of Liberty, according to radar data.

Johnson had only been operating the helicopter for fifteen minutes when it crashed into the river at great speed.

The craft nose-dived into the ocean, sending debris flying into the air, and footage showed its rotor tearing off.

According to Bruce Wall, a witness there, he witnessed the main rotor and tail come off as it “fell apart” in flight. It fell with the main rotor still whirling without the helicopter.

Although an official cause for the accident has not yet been established, it is now being investigated.

The pilot had little hope of saving the helicopter due to a “catastrophic mechanical failure,” according to video, according to aviation lawyer Justin Green, a former Marine Corps helicopter pilot.

Green speculated that the cabin may have fallen freely after the main rotors of the helicopter collided with the tail boom, shattering it.

Green claimed that “as soon as whatever happened, they were dead.”

There is no proof that they were in charge of the vessel. Once they lost the lifts, there was no way for any pilot to stop that accident. It’s comparable to a boulder hitting the earth. It is devastating.
