Tragedy struck the small community of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, as 22-year-old newlywed Keris Riebel fell victim to a horrific attack while working at the local Dollar Tree store. The incident, which occurred around 4:25 p.m. at the store located on 1120 Wyandot Ave., left Riebel dead after being assaulted by a man wielding a machete.

The assailant, identified as 27-year-old Bethel Bekele, was later apprehended in the 100 block of South Fifth Street, situated near the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office.
