Hip-hop mother-daughter duo Toya Johnson and Reginae Carter are coming to a television screen near you after WE tv announced the launch of several new shows, including Toya & Reginae.
The upcoming unscripted reality show, which will focus on the ex-wife and daughter of legendary hip-hop emcee Lil Wayne, is described as “an extension of WE tv’s successful Growing Up Hip Hop franchise, which featured several appearances from both stars.
With this new series, the pair hope to prove that they are just “as happy as they seem on social media, their lives are unpredictable and full of chaos,” according to the network’s official press release.
In a statement, Johnson expressed how “excited” she was “to let viewers back into our lives to see what my family has been up to since you’ve seen us last.”
“Toya & Reginae” will air this fall exclusively on WE tv and sister steamer ALLBLK. They join a growing lineup that also includes a reality series, Bev is Boss, featuring self-made veteran hip-hop figure and former manager Deb Antney.
