After her husband abandoned her, a pregnant mother of three must sell her stroller in order to provide for her children.Anne Sargent sobbed while sitting on her kitchen floor. When her three children were sleeping upstairs, she could only express her anguish, even though it was past midnight.Anne put a gentle hand on the infant’s belly as she felt her move. She apologized to her unborn kid in a whisper.
“Even if I’m trying my hardest, it’s not good enough.” Anne had been a radially happy wife and mother just two months prior, certain of her place in the world and her husband’s love, and looking forward to the birth of her fourth child. The woman has vanished. When Anne’s husband left, she was four months along with her pregnancy.
| From Unsplash One evening, Derek had simply told her he was leaving when he got home. But why, questioned Anne. “I don’t get it; I thought we were content!””You seemed content!” Derek started crying. “YOU, so she cautiously increased her pay.
However, it was insufficient even with the child support check that Derek mailed. For a few months, Anne’s utilities were covered by the proceeds from the sale of some antique china that she had inherited from her grandmother. Then, she used the money she made from selling a silver brush and mirror set she had owned since she was a young child to buy groceries.
As her belly grew, Anne gradually had to sell her treasures in order to provide food and safety for her family. One day, everything was reduced to just bric-a-brac for sale. Everything more valuable was lost. Anne looked at the old stroller she’d brought up from the cellar. It had been hers when she was a baby and had been used by each of her children in turn. It was very old, probably from the sixties,

She needed it for the new baby, but she needed the money even more. She thought about getting a nice price for it down in the flea market. Vintage products were always popular… And so she took the stroller to the flea market, and one of the vendors gave her $50 for it.
Not much at all, but every cent helped.Anne went away, convinced she’d never see the stroller again, but she was incorrect. Two days later, she opened the front door and noticed the stroller on the porch! There was an envelope inside and Anne opened it and read: “Please call me.” The message was followed by a phone number. Anne dialed the number ad a woman answered her. “Hello?” Anne said. “Are you the person who left the stroller? How did you know who it belonged to and where I live?”Anne obtained a part-time work as a teller. When Derek told me,” the woman on the other side said. “I’m Grace Robbs.
I think we should meet.” Grace was having tea on Anne’s sofa an hour later. She appeared to be rather unhappy, despite being a woman who was six or seven years younger than Anne. Her eyes were swollen, as though she had been crying, and her pale complexion was blotched. Despite knowing the answer deep inside, Anne questioned, “How do you know Derek?” “I was his partner,” Grace declared. “Was?” inquired Anne. “You two got split up?”It just wasn’t enough what Anne had earned. | Original source: Unsplash “Actually, today,” Grace remarked, breaking down in tears. “I had no idea…I was unaware of you, the kids, and the infant.
When I learned I was expecting, I wasn’t sure how to tell him.”I bought this adorable stroller at the flea market with my friend after seeing it there. I positioned it in the center of the living room and attached balloons with the words “Hello Dad!” on it. However, he wasn’t as content as I had anticipated. He began to yell, asking whether his foolish wife had given me the stroller and whence II had obtained it.
Is that a joke, he inquired. He said he didn’t want to hear about your baby and instructed me to take it back. I then said, “It’s for OUR baby,” and that’s when he lost it. “He said he already had three brats with you and one more on the way, and he didn’t want my baby,” accusing me of trying to trap him. I should leave and come to you, he informed me.At the flea market, Anne offered her gorgeous vintage stroller for sale. I apologize so much; I assume I didn’t know him at all because I was unaware of you! Anne stood up and wrapped the weeping girl in her arm. It’s alright. It will all work out, as you will witness. In a hushed voice, Grace remarked, “He’s kicked me out.” “I have no family here and nowhere to go. I have a job, but with the rents in this city, I can’t afford to live alone, and who is going to want a pregnant roommate?”
“I will.” Anne stated strongly. “I need a tenant because my income is insufficient, and I am unable to work full-time due to my inability to pay for an after-school babysitter.” “However…” Grace smiled broadly. “I am an internet worker! I’m able to watch the kids after school. I adore children!Grace and Anne consoled one another. | Original: Unsplash Commercial Anne exclaimed, “So I can take a full-time job?” “The grocery shop owner wants me to run it for him. I can if you help me! Additionally, you don’t need to bother about baby-related items.
Three children later, I could feed an army. Grace, despite her tears, grinned. She said, “And we have the stroller too.” “Are you certain? It’s the child of Derek. Anne shook her head, no. “All that matters is YOUR baby and the sibling of my children.” Grace was present when Anne’s kid was born as the two ladies settled into their new life together. Four months later, on Grace’s turn, Anne held her hand.

He sought to talk with Anne after being taken aback to see Grace there. “Derek, what do you want?” Anne enquired. Derek said, “It’s me, babe. After giving him a long look, Anne answered, “Sorry, so not interested!” In his face, she shut the door behind him.
