Malcolm Jamal Warner and Regina King are two Hollywood veterans who have been in the spotlight for decades. The pair, who grew up on two of the most iconic sitcoms on television, hit it off and eventually started dating. Unfortunately, their two-year union came to an end, and the sad story behind their breakup has recently come to light.
Malcolm Jamal Warner is best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992. During that time, he became a heartthrob for many young girls. Regina King, on the other hand, played Brenda Jenkins on 227, a sitcom that aired from 1985 to 1990. Like Malcolm, she was a role model for young black kids watching and a first love for many young boys.
Malcolm and Regina’s relationship seemed to be going well for two years, but then something changed. Malcolm ended the relationship and reportedly put Regina out of his home. According to sources close to the couple, Malcolm “wasn’t feeling it no more.” The breakup was a shock to many fans who had followed their love story.
Since their split, both Malcolm and Regina have moved on with their lives. Unfortunately, Regina suffered a tragic loss in 2022 when her son Ian took his own life. She has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since then, understandably grieving her loss. Malcolm, on the other hand, has gotten married and had a child. He keeps his family out of the spotlight, but he did share a photo of their hands for his Black Fist Family campaign in December.
