Woman Breaks Down In Tears After Working Her First Shift At 9-5 Job
You can be eager to move forward in life and start making money, or you might be somewhat nervous since you don’t know what to anticipate.
Undoubtedly, it was an overpowering event for one former pupil.
Brielle, who uses the TikTok moniker @brielleybelly123, gained notoriety after she posted a video of her first day of a new job.
“QOTD (question of the day) in a 9–5 how do you have time for your life?” was the text overlay for the video.
“I’m also getting sick, leave me alone,” said the caption. I feel like I’m twelve years old, and I’m afraid I won’t have enough time to live.
Many others have responded to the comments supporting Brielle. One person wrote: “Your feelings are totally valid and the 40-hour work week is beyond outdated.”
One more says, “You’re not by yourself. It’s unbelievable how truly your whole day has vanished. We require four-day work weeks because of this.
Someone writes, “Aww, welcome to adulthood,” in a condescending manner.
“I suppose I was raised in a different period. That’s life,” another person says.
Another says, “I work from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. or later.” Continue to cook, run, and work out.
Brielle was clearly agitated when she said in the video that started it all that her job required her to go to the city, which would take her “f***ing forever to get there.”
She quickly disregarded the idea of relocating to the metropolis, citing cost concerns.
Brielle stated: “It wouldn’t be a problem if I could walk to work. I board the train at 7:30 and won’t arrive home until [at most] 6:15.
The TikToker revealed that she has a job that only gives her enough time for a shower, dinner, and bed, so she no longer has “time to do anything.”
Brielle told her viewers that she was upset about the 9–5 workday rather than the job itself as she continued to fight back tears.
“It’s so repetitive and depressing, I feel you, girl,” a third person agrees.
One fourth says, “This is exactly how I felt when I was 22 after I graduated from college.” I’m currently 28 years old. You’ll get used to it. It also helps to work at a career you are passionate about.
However, some people have responded to the comments with a less than sympathetic assessment of Brielle’s video.
“As though it were remote work, you get off at five, go home, and everything is good. However, it takes me a while to go home,” she continued.
Brielle told The Independent that her video emphasizes the need for social change after it went viral.
“I want to be able to talk for this next generation and explain that a 40-hour work week plus commute is not necessary for productivity,” she stated to the publication.
“More companies consider following in other countries’ footsteps in regards to the work week,” Brielle continued.
Months later, the TikToker made the startling revelation that she had been fired from her position.
Can someone just reassure me that I will be alright? It seems like the world is ending, and I urgently need a job. I feel like I relocated for this, yet I’m so lost.
After that, Brielle would say, “I’m not going to sit here and cry, but I got laid off from my first post-grad job, which I moved to New York City for and took five months to find.”
She went on, “It’s really disappointing.” You get the impression that you’re not good enough, and I am aware of this.
I’m a dedicated worker, and my supervisor told me I’m among the smartest employees he’s ever had, and he thinks I’ll succeed.
“I have a degree and have completed all the requirements: I completed two internships, developed a portfolio, and worked as a freelancer outside of the classroom to enhance it. I performed services for no charge.
“Even after exhausting all of my options, it’s not enough.”
Thankfully, Brielle found a new job shortly after, and she updated her fans about it.
