Leanne Bell has been candid about her rare condition, and just recently, she responded to some questions she receives. The 37-Year-Old had been born with uterus didelphys, an abnormality in which a developing baby girl grows two uteruses instead of one, two cervixes, and two v*ginas.
As a result of the latter, Bell has said she gets two periods and can be pregnant with two children at once – one in each uterus.
“My body is about to blow your mind, in a weird way. Essentially, I was born with extra body parts – extra female body parts. I was born with two v*ginas, two uteruses, and two cervixes,” Bell said in a TikTok clip under the username @theladyleanne. She added: “I have to have my two periods that suck. They’re usually at the same time, but sometimes not.”
“I also have to go get two pap smears, which sucks. It’s not comfortable. I wear two tampons, yes. Like I said, whatever one woman does, I do it twice.”
Pregnancy was another topic that viewers were interested in. To this, Bell explained she could have children, but it would be a high-risk pregnancy. “It has never worked out for me, and that’s okay. It would have to be a C-section. I could essentially get pregnant in both at the same time. A baby in this one, a baby in this one, and it could be by two different men if it were within a week span.”
Bell detailed how painful her periods can be in a previous video, saying she sought treatment from her gynecologist for severe cramping before discovering she had two uteruses.
She explained the pain was excruciating and that they had to put her on pain meds, which made her feel sick and didn’t work. Bell said she was bedridden and felt like she was wasting her life in the first few days in the first few days. Similarly, the TikToker shared she’s been using tampons at once. “My whole life, I had used one tampon until last year. I was going to a pool. Let me just try putting one in each. It worked perfectly,” Bell stated.
While she always had to use super plus tampons, she had observed she could only use the slim or regular ones when she does one on each side.
However, Bell just started dating eight months ago, admitting men have been scared of her condition. She noted she’s hesitant to give people her Instagram handle because of her videos about uterus didelphys. Bell told of how she was talking to one guy for a few days and decided to share it with him. And just when he knew about her condition, she never heard from him again.
