It was clear that Jennifer Lopez was enjoying the last of the summertime heat.
The 55-year-old Lopez posted a carousel of pictures to Instagram on Saturday, August 31, saying, “Oh, it was a summer.”
The singer posted a selfie in a white one-piece bathing suit in one of the pictures. Lopez, who posted from the bathroom, accessorized her ensemble with a pair of gold hoops earrings and a tiny diamond pendant necklace. She accessorized her hair with a sleek high ponytail that matched her smokey eye.
Throughout the end-of-summer roundup, Lopez shared pictures of her hanging out with her sister Lynda, going to the ice cream shop, and spending time with her children, Max and Emme. (Lopez and her ex-husband Marc Anthony have twins who are 16 years old.)
With her upload, Lopez made her first public statement since divorcing her estranged spouse Ben Affleck. After two years of marriage, Lopez independently filed for divorce without the assistance of a lawyer, as Us Weekly verified on August 20. She stated that the couple had separated on April 26.
Due to increased public attention, Lopez and 52-year-old Affleck put off their wedding after first dating in 2002 and 2004. May 2021 marked their reunion following their individual breakups and divorces. After Lopez and Anthony, 55, broke up in 2011, she went on to date MLB veteran Alex Rodriguez. In 2021, they called off their engagement.
