Angela Bassett’s Twins Are a Much Older Now, and She’s Just Helped Make Her Son’s Wish Come True Time… it definitely does fly by, doesn’t it? Well, at least with the exception of Angela Bassett’s anti-aging workout routine, which keeps her looking sexy even though she’s 60 years old… Aside from that, though, time flies; the fact that she and her actor husband, Courtney B. Vance, now have twins is evidence of this.
That Is How It Was…
It seems like it was just yesterday when Angela Bassett and Courtney Vance were appearing on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show in 2007 with their then-toddler fraternal twins, Bronwyn Golden and Slater Josiah. Bassett and Vance have been married for over a decade. During that time, Angela and Courtney shared the many challenges they faced when trying to conceive a child. They had been trying for seven years in a row, and Angela had even undergone IVF procedures; yet, their efforts were fruitless.
The possibility that she would never become pregnant had an emotional and mental toll on her, and it wasn’t until a friend introduced Vance and Bassett to the concept of surrogacy that they finally found hope for their dream of starting a family of their own. Although a surrogate mother carried both of their infants, Angela and Courtney’s DNA is the only one that is present in the twins.
I’m happy to report that Bronwyn and Slater had a healthy and successful entry into the world, and I can’t wait for you all to see how much the youngsters have developed since then…
Bam! I warned you that time would pass quickly; as the saying goes, “Father Time” waits for NO-BODY! The twins that were born to Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance are now 13 years old and appear exactly like a combination of the two of their parents.
“Dream Come True,” According to Bassett’s Son…
A video of Bassett’s son, Slater, meeting his “hero,” Logic, was published by Bassett in one of his Instagram posts. The seriousness with which her son looked at Logic when the latter offered him words of comfort and direction stated it all…
In a different post, she bragged about how delighted she is that Slater has decided to concentrate on the positive aspects of life in his lyrics:
