Some people really go all out with their graduation celebration. And for Rachel Davenpole, that meant snapping some sultry look of herself next to a pole at a fitness center.
The University of Arizona graduate’s picture to celebrate her graduation had torn the internet between her being fabulous and just plain stupid. But it doesn’t look like opinions are going to change Rachel’s mind.
She became viral after plugging herself on a tweet asking for people who want to serve “in an academic way.” And when people tried to troll her, she always had the right answers.
“I wonder if the school didn’t let her walk at graduation like they did ole girl from FAMU,” tweeted one user.
She replied, “I also got a similar comment on my insta and yes I did walk- but you also can’t really compare the situations other than we both look good? I’m in a swimsuit and the FAMU girl was naked… what matters is we are both educated and fine as hell.”
Her comment section was also inundated with praises as one called her “talented” and another said she was “so badass.”
The pictures have been seen 6.7 million times on Twitter. And as divided as Twitter was, you can’t help but notice how many just gushed over her confidence as one user wrote, “Damn, best graduation pictures ever.”
“This actually impressive as f–k,” wrote another.
Another user tweeted, “This is beyond a flex.”
The reception reminds users of how a Florida student posed with not a single piece of clothing on her for her graduation last spring. Yet when a male high schooler wore a bathrobe for his graduation pics, he was a “legend.”
Regardless of what people say, however, her achievement was no easy feat. She shot back at the critics, “Graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.8 GPA) and received over $40,000 in scholarships … let’s get u a mirror so we can see who this tweets about babes.”
