Donald Trump’s recent interest in acquiring Greenland has sparked a wave of protests across the island nation. Thousands of Greenlanders gathered in Nuuk, the capital, for what is being called the largest protest in the country’s history. Demonstrators carried signs with slogans like “Greenland belongs to Greenlanders” and “We’re not for sale,” sending a clear message to the former U.S. president.
Greenland’s acting Prime Minister, Múte B. Egede, didn’t hold back in his response. “Greenland is ours.
