Fans have praised Tammy Slaton as she is finally able to stand without help for the first time in years.
The 36-year-old reality television personality – best known for starring on the TLC program 1000-lb Sisters – dropped 183 lbs after spending time at a food rehabilitation facility, as reported by The Mirror. During the most recent series of the TLC show, Tammy hit her goal weight after she dropped from 717 lbs to 534 lbs, and posted pictures on Instagram of her dramatic change.
At the time, she expressed her happiness in shedding weight, saying: “When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kinda stopped breathing for a second. I’m like 14 lbs. under my goal weight.
“From over 700, that’s a huge drop. I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited – just all the emotions. I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment.”
Earlier this year, Slaton took to her TikTok page to reveal to her followers on the social media platform her new accomplishment – she can now sit in the front seat of a car. In the footage, Tammy donned a bright floral top and was seen dancing and lip-syncing while sitting in the front seat of the vehicle.
Now, Slaton is also able to stand on her own without the use of her wheelchair.
Amy had captioned the upload with: “Had a blast last night . totally embarrassed myself but it was fun. Now to go pick up my boys.. can’t wait to see my new friends again we love y’all!!!”
Fans of the sisters were noticeably happy for the star, taking to the comments section to write messages like: “Way to go Tammy !! No oxygen and walking on her own!!”
